Microblading eyebrows is a semi-permanent makeup treatment to make your eyebrows look fuller.
It is not permanent like traditional tattooing and lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 years,
depending on skin type and skincare routine.
The treatment is done manually using a hand tool with ultra fine
needles to draw hair strokes on your eyebrows; strategically etching in spots to create natural shape and fullness in your brows.

Microblading cost in Canada range from $200 to $1000+, depending on where you
live and how skillful your microblading technician is (Years of experience and level of certifications acquired).
In major cities such as Toronto, Ontario(average cost is $550 CAD) and New York city(average cost is $600 USD), you'll find a plethora of permanent makeup(PMU) artists to choose from.
Higher prices don't always result in better brows, but it normally implies that the technician is more experienced.
You should do research on the artist and go through their portfolios of before and after pictures very carefully. Most of them are active on Instagram and have lots of photos to screen through.

Microblading is suitable for most people, as long as they have strong and healthy skin.
People with pre-existing skin conditions and treatments may not yield the best results.
If you have a minor condition, please book a consulation with a PMU artist to discuss your condition.
Please make sure to read the info below before booking an appointment.
The procedure will hurt a bit, ranging from mild to none.
A topical anesthetic agent is applied to numb your eyebrows
prior to the microblading process to manage the pain.
Everyone responds to anesthetic differently and has a different pain tolerance.
Some customers have described the feeling as tiny papercuts or light cat scratches.
Note: Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.
A session usually takes 2 to 3 hours, varying for each PMU artists. The session consists of facial examination to determine optimal brow shape, custom pigment colour matching and the treatment itself.
It works by depositing colored pigment underneath the skin with a manual handheld tool. Each hair stroke lightly cuts the skin and makes the pigment deposits.
It usually takes 1-2 weeks for the eyebrows to heal over and 1 month for the color to fully set in.
As part of the healing process, the area around your brows may swell mildy and appear slightly red and your eyebrows will appear darker.
Rest assure this is normal, your brows will lighten up quickly within the week.
Please see aftercare instructions below.
No they're not the same, Microblading is semi-permanent (pigment starts to fade after a year or so) while tattooing is permanent, it is there for life.
We do NOT recommend tattooing your eyebrows because the ink used in tattoos is different from pigment used in microblading.
When tattoo ink fades, the color usually changes to a green/blue tint which is not desired for the eyebrows.
On the other hand, microblading pigment fades to a lighter shade of the same color.
